Our Story

We’re Dan and Adam, two lifelong anglers who’ve been hooked on fishing since our early teenage years — long before we even knew each other. In 2016, our paths crossed, and from that moment a strong friendship was built on a shared love for the sport, countless sessions on the bank, and plenty of laughs along the way.

After years of fishing together, we decided to take our passion one step further and build something around it — a brand born from the lifestyle we love. Originally, Carpit started out as a bait company. The name came from a simple idea: a “carpet” of bait that would keep the fish feeding. While that chapter didn’t go quite as planned, it led us down a new and unexpected path.

During those early days, Dan began sketching logo ideas, and Adam quickly realised just how talented he was. That’s when everything changed. We decided to focus on creating original, hand-drawn designs that represented who we are and what the carp fishing lifestyle means to us.

From there, we spent years doing market research, testing materials, meeting other brand owners, and getting to know the wider carp community. We wanted to understand what anglers truly wanted from their clothing — something high-quality, comfortable, and stylish, that could be worn both on the bank and in everyday life.

Finally, we found the garments that met our standards, and Carpit Clothing was born. We chose to go down the urban design route, keeping every design completely original and hand-drawn — no AI, no templates, just real artwork from real anglers.

Today, Carpit stands for more than just clothing. It’s a reflection of the fishing lifestyle we live and love — authentic, creative, and built from the banks up
